The next MDC Linguistics Circle is coming up on Thursday, November 10, 7-9pm at MDC. This month, Solomon G. Ayecheluhim, a PhD candidate in New Testament at MDC, will be presenting a paper entitled, “Reading John 4:1-26 as a Conversational Register.” This paper explores the dialogue between Jesus and the Samaritan woman from the perspective of conversational register. Join us for an insightful and informative discussion on this topic.
As usual, we will gather at 5pm at the College for a pre-meeting dinner at the Phoenix (on campus). All are welcome to join; please RSVP to Dave Yoon if planning to attend the dinner.
