For our first Linguistics Circle of the year, we will have Dr. David Mathewson, Associate Professor of New Testament at Denver Seminary as our presenter. He will be presenting a paper on Greek voice and mood; the paper will be posted shortly on the CBLTE (Centre for Biblical Linguistics, Translation, and Exegesis) forum. The papers are usually read beforehand, and the meeting consists of an in-depth discussion on the paper. If you need access to the forum, please contact Doosuk Kim (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The meeting will be Thursday, January 14, 7:00-9:00pm, on Webex. Click here to join.
We look forward to a stimulating discussion on Greek mood and voice. We expect to have many active participants, rather than passive ones, and it will be a great distraction during the middle of this pandemic. Do not miss out!
The MDC Linguistics Circle gatherings for 2020-21 will take place online via Webex. The link for accessing the Webex meeting will be provided in advance of each meeting and each paper will be posted on the CBLTE website a week prior to each meeting. If you are not a member on the website, please contact email@example.com for access.
If you are interested in presenting a paper at the MDC Linguistics Circle, please be in contact with Dr. Dave Yoon at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are looking for papers from established scholars, recent graduates, and graduate students.
We look forward to resuming our stimulating discussions on how linguistics informs our study of Scripture. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
