End: 02:00 PM

Our guest speaker for this occasion will be Dr. Paul N. Anderson, who at the moment is Professor of Biblical and Quaker Studies at George Fox University. Although Dr. Anderson’s expertise includes Quaker Studies, Early Christianity, Historical Jesus, etc., he is most well-known for his contributions to Johannine Studies. Professor Anderson is a founding member of the John, Jesus, and History Project (SBL since 2002) and has co-edited four of its volumes. The topic for our meeting will be: “Ministering in a Pluralistic World with an Exclusivistic, Pro-Christian Worldview.” We will take advantage of Dr. Anderson’s familiarity with John—particularly the various issues present in John—and draw some parallels that will be relevant to our present context. Please come prepare with lots of questions. If you would like to learn more about Dr. Anderson and be blessed by his scholarly contribution, you can click here.
