We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming NT Guild meeting on April 7, 2025, at 1:00 pm. As part of our ongoing theme, “New Testament Scholars Across the World,” we are honored to welcome Dr. Stephanie Black, Affiliate Associate Professor of New Testament at Fuller Theological Seminary.
Dr. Black is an accomplished scholar and educator with extensive experience in New Testament studies and theological education across global contexts. Her academic work explores Greek grammar and discourse in the New Testament, particularly the Gospel of Matthew, and engages themes of hermeneutics, intercultural theology, and biblical interpretation in African and global settings. She is the author of Sentence Conjunctions in the Gospel of Matthew(Sheffield Academic, 2002) and has published widely in both academic journals and edited volumes.
In addition to her academic research, Dr. Black has served in numerous teaching and leadership roles, including at institutions such as the Ethiopian Graduate School of Theology, South Asia Institute of Advanced Christian Studies, and Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology. She currently serves as Theological Education Specialist with Serge and Associate Director for Orientation and Training with Theologians Without Borders.
You can join us in person or via Zoom (link below). We look forward to seeing you there for what promises to be a rich and engaging conversation.
