Our first Guild meeting for this term will take place on Tuesday, January 18 at 1:00 pm. Our guest speaker will be Dr. John A. L. Lee from the University of Sydney. Many of you are already familiar with him through his book, A History of New Testament Lexicography. The topic for this meeting will be: “NT Scholarship in the Broader Context.” The point of this topic is to encourage us to expand our horizons beyond the setting of a confessional institution. Dr. Lee has, not only experience in NT and Classical Greek, but also in doing scholarship in a secular, rather than confessional, setting. I am sure we will be greatly benefited from his knowledge and experience. Please, come prepared with lots of questions!
I look forward to seeing all of you!
