More about Padre X

Padre X is a one-man play, written and performed by MDC student, Marc A. Moir. Marc has toured the play over the past 12 years, part of which with the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, and won a number of awards and accolades for his work.

Padre X is the story of WWII chaplain Capt. John Weir Foote, the only Canadian chaplain to receive the Victoria Cross for valour during the Second World War. Foote snuck along on the ill-fated Dieppe raid, saved dozens of men as an impromptu medic on the beaches, then refused evacuation so he could become a prisoner of war and continue to minister to his men.
