In our November meeting, the PT Guild will be hosting an evening session with Dr. Claire Wolfteich, Professor of Practical Theology and Spirituality Studies and Director of the Center for Practical Theology at Boston University School of Theology (Boston, MA). We are excited for Dr. Wolfteich to share with us about the Creative Callings Project, an ongoing collaboration between BUSTH and partner congregations to rediscover and discern vocation as a means to help revitalize the local church for its mission in the world.
The Practical Theology (PT) Guild is a monthly Zoom meeting open to all MDC students and faculty interested in Practical Theology. The PT Guild offers an opportunity to meet outside our regular curriculum to discuss various topics concerning being a good PT scholar. Topics include practice-led research, qualitative research methodologies, theological reflection methods, publishing, current developments in the field, job market and applications, and more.
