DESCRIPTION:We will be discussing an article from Aaron Jung titled “C.S. Lewis and the Art of Criticism.” This article explores how we can approach the Bible as a literary artifact through the lens of art criticism. It also engages questions of subjectivity and aesthetics and considers reading and writing in the era of AI. \nThe Hermeneutics Group is a monthly gathering of faculty\, students\, and others interested in the issues surrounding hermeneutics. Hermeneutics is a multidisciplinary field of growing interest. It is concerned with how we understand the world around us\, especially but not exclusively written texts\, but also art\, music\, and other meaning-making events.
