Position Description 

Evergreen Heights Christian Fellowship Church is a diverse community of Christ followers seeking to serve like Jesus in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada. We are searching for a Lead Pastor to serve, minister to, and lead our community. What started as a small gathering in 1975 as part of the Ontario Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches has grown into a vibrant church with a community of all ages and stages. This position reports to the board of elders.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in theology, Master’s degree (preferred), pursuing further theological training, and/or life experience that brings a rich biblical understanding of worship and leading Christ-followers.
Must be a believer and follower of Jesus, and demonstrate integrity, grace, and commitment to the Evergreen community (including active membership).
Excellent interpersonal, communication, management, organizational, and problem- solving skills required.
Must understand and be aligned to the core ethos and values of Evergreen.
Must affirm the Confession of Faith of the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches.
Must be capable of being credentialled with the Ontario Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches.
Ability to adapt to frequently changing and challenging situations.
Committed to continued expanding knowledge and skills, formally and informally.
Committed to regular coaching/mentoring with established outside resource to ensure both accountability as well as self-care.
A current satisfactory Vulnerable Persons Police Record Check.
