Stewardship Coordinator (Part-Time)

STEWARDSHIP COORDINATOR

The Anglican Diocese of Niagara is seeking a part-time coordinator for its donor-centric stewardship initiatives, reporting to the treasurer and director of finance. To deepen active engagement in stewardship as a vital part of discipleship, the coordinator will also support parishes and affiliated ministries with all aspects of their stewardship ministry.

Primary Responsibilities:   

1)      Stewardship Development

  • Support a culture of generous, intentional living that contributes to the renewal and mission of the faith communities and affiliated ministries of the Diocese
  • Develop, adapt, and promote stewardship resources and communications
  • Work with staff and volunteers to ensure that diocesan-wide workshops and events embody stewardship best practices appropriate for faith communities
  • Facilitate learning opportunities for clergy and lay leaders to grow in their understanding of stewardship theology and practices rooted in baptism and discipleship

 

2)      Fundraising and Grants

  • Provide administrative support and coordination for diocesan fundraising initiatives, major gifts campaigns, and grant applications
  • Provide advice and resources for parish and affiliated ministries fundraising campaigns and available grants opportunities

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant degree, diploma or certificate from a post-secondary institution with at least 5 years of work-related experience; a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and implement campaigns including major gifts, annual appeals, grant writing, corporate and foundation giving, and special events
  • Ability to build, develop and maintain relationships with donors
  • Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge database, and other donation platforms
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the capacity to inspire trust in people from a wide variety of backgrounds and work as part of a team
  • Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills
  • Familiarity with the life, culture, values and vision of the Anglican Church of Canada as expressed in the Diocese of Niagara

 

Terms of Employment

  • Part-time (2/3 time of a 35 hour work week), ongoing employment
  • Salary and benefits commensurate with experience
  • Current and satisfactory Police Record Check; proof of COVID-19 vaccination required
