Dr. Stanley Porter to present in Belgium & South Africa

President of McMaster Divinity College, Dr. Stanley E. Porter will be presenting research papers in both Belgium and South Africa at the end of February and beginning of March 2015.  Dr. Porter will be participating as a plenary speaker at the Continental Theological Seminary (near Brussels, Belgium) from February 26-27.  His topic will be: ‘Jesus as Divine Son: What Did He Know and When Did He Know It?’ His four individual talks will include Old Testament Expectations of Divine Figures, Jesus as Christ or Messiah, Son of Man, and Son of God.On March 4-6, he will travel to North West University in Potchefstroom, South Africa, to the International Conference on the New Testament Test, Meaning and Cognition. As the keynote speaker, he will present on ‘Metaphor in the New Testament’ and ‘A Linguistic Approach to Thinking about Rhetoric.’ Following this talk, on March 9, Dr. Porter will guest lecture for the Department of New Testament and Faculty of Theology at the University of Pretoria.We wish safe travels as Dr. Porter represents MDC across the world.
