Knowles Preaches in Ontario Churches

Michael Knowles, the G. F. Hurlburt Chair and Professor of Preaching, delivered a sermon on Sunday, April 28, at Logos Baptist Church in Mississauga, where MDC graduate Tommy Ho serves on the pastoral team. His sermon served as the fourth in the church’s “Full Armour” series, based on Ephesians 6.During April, May, and June, Michael is also preaching a six-part series on the parables of Jesus at St. John United Church in Hamilton. His service to this local congregation aids in pulpit ministry to the church while their pastor, and current MDC student, Rev. Glen Wells, is on sabbatical. The audio of his April 7 sermon “Of Grace and Gardening” can be heard online via the church’s website.In addition to these engagements, Michael will also lead a Pastor’s Day Retreat for the Trent Valley Association of the CBOQ on May 9, in Peterborough, ON at Gilmour Memorial Baptist Church. The theme of the retreat is “Ascension Day: Jesus at the Right Hand of the Father.”
