In-Cheol Shin

Dr. In-Cheol Shin is currently serving as a professor in the Department of Theology at Korea Baptist Theological University and Seminary. He earned his Ph.D. under the supervision of Professor Andries Van Aarde with his dissertation titled “Matthew’s Inclusive Community: A Narratological and Social-Scientific Reading.” Specializing in the Gospel of Matthew, he has been teaching across the field of New Testament studies at Korea Baptist Theological University since 2007.

His publications include more than ten books, such as “The Matthean Community from the Perspective of Matthean Theology.” He has contributed numerous articles to Neotestamentica and HTS Theological Studies, and to date, he has published and presented around forty academic papers in Korean. His primary research interests lie in the Gospel of Matthew, with a particular focus on studies related to the Septuagint.
