  • What is McMaster Divinity College, and where is it located?

    McMaster Divinity College is an evangelical Christian seminary and graduate school in Hamilton, Ontario, about an hour from Toronto. We are located directly adjacent to McMaster University and are independently chartered, developing leaders for the Church, academy, and society through graduate-level theological education.   • Can I complete a seminary degree remotely?

    With the exception of the PhD, which is a residential program, all of our seminary degree programs can be completed through a variety of remote study options, so you can keep serving in ministry while you study. Connect with our Admissions team to confirm the study options available for the program you are considering.

  • How do I apply, and what funding is available?

    Start by exploring our programs, where each program lists its own funding options. Then connect with our Admissions team to discuss your individual situation and next steps. Most students from Ontario, and those affiliated with a CBOQ (Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec) church, qualify for increased levels of funding.

  • Is McMaster Divinity College accredited?

    Yes. All of our seminary degree programs are accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools (ATS), where McMaster Divinity College has been a full member since 1954. We are also the official ministerial training school of the Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec (CBOQ). Read more about our accreditation and affiliations.
