Our first Linguistics Circle of 2025 is coming up on Thursday, January 23, 7–9pm. The presenter for this meeting is David I. Yoon, a PhD graduate and Research Fellow at MDC, and Lecturer in Religious Studies at Niagara University, with a paper entitled “Antilanguage in the New Testament: Inclusion and Exclusion through Relexicalization.”
Anyone who is interested in joining is most welcome to join. As usual, there is a pre-Circle dinner gathering at 5pm. We will meet in Cullen Hall near the back doors (that face the centre of campus) and walk together to the Phoenix for dinner. For any questions or comments, please contact co-chairs Dr. Stanley Porter or Dr. David Yoon, or email CBLTE directly to get access to the paper in advance. We look forward to discussing antilanguage in the New Testament!
