Brent Moore
Dr. Brent Moore is a Professor of Psychology and Chair of Behavioral and Health Sciences at Indiana Wesleyan University. He is an LPC (MO), LCPC (KS), registered play therapist and supervisor (RPT-S), and clinical supervisor. Dr. Moore holds graduate degrees in psychology, education, business, and theology. In 2024, Dr. Moore was a Visiting Scholar at the University of London’s Centre for Online and Distance Education and a Chartered Psychologist through the British Psychological Society. He was named Counselor Educator of the Year by the American Mental Health Counseling Association in 2024. This year, Dr. Moore was awarded an international travel grant to represent IWU at the European Society of Psychology Learning and Teaching in Münster, Germany. While there, he will present on AI use.
Before working for IWU, Dr. Moore was an Associate Professor of Counselor Education at MidAmerica Nazarene University. At MNU, Dr. Moore chaired the IRB, was a faculty representative to the Board of Trustees, and served on numerous committees. He is a Past President of the American Counseling Association of Missouri and has served on multiple professional association boards.
