Michael Fischhoff

Michael Fischhoff, RP, is a Registered Psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, and educator based in Ontario. He is the Founder and Clinical Director of On the Journey Psychotherapy & Wellness, where he provides psychotherapy, supervises clinicians and interns, and oversees the development of evidence-informed mental health services.

Michael’s clinical work spans individual, couples, family, and group therapy, with particular interests in trauma, attachment, anxiety, relationships, spirituality, and leadership development. His integrative approach draws from cognitive behavioural, acceptance and commitment, emotion-focused, attachment-based, and systems therapies while emphasizing the therapeutic relationship and whole-person care.

Alongside his clinical practice, Michael teaches, develops training programs, and supervises graduate psychotherapy students from several Canadian universities. He is passionate about equipping the next generation of therapists through practical training, reflective supervision, and the integration of clinical excellence with compassion.

Before entering full-time psychotherapy, Michael spent many years in leadership roles within community and faith-based organizations. He continues to be committed to serving individuals, families, and communities through clinical practice, education, and leadership.
