Robert Revington

Robert Revington completed his PhD at Knox College in the University of Toronto in 2023. He worked as a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow at Queen’s University from 2023 to 2025 and has also been teaching Church History online for the Vancouver School of Theology at the University of British Columbia. He completed his BA, MA in History, and MA in Religious Studies at McMaster University. He is writing a biography of Lucy Maud Montgomery (creator of Anne of Green Gables) focusing on her life as a Canadian Presbyterian that will be published by Eerdmans Publishing. He is also co-editing a book on The Presbyterian Church in Canada’s 150th anniversary and writing what will likely be a multi-volume study of the history of biblical scholarship in Canada. Robert is currently the president of the Canadian Society of Presbyterian History and served as president for the Canadian Society of Church History for 2024-2025. His published articles include papers that are either printed (or soon to be printed) in the Journal of Religion and Film, Anglican Theological Review, Sport History Review, Journal of the Canadian Church Historical Society, Journal of Inklings Studies, and Journal of L. M. Montgomery Studies, along with multiple papers in upcoming edited volumes.
