Biblical Theology Courses in Korean 맥마스터 신학교 한국어 성경신학 강좌
Korean students represent the largest group of international students within the MDC student body. As part of our mission to educate Christian leaders, we desire to partner with Korean pastors and churches in Canada to serve the Korean church more effectively. Beginning with these courses, we hope to offer even more accessible and meaningful opportunities for Korean students to thrive in theological education.
한인 학생들은 맥마스터 신학교 유학생들 가운데 가장 큰 비중을 차지하고 있습니다. 저희 맥마스터 신학교는 캐나다 한인 목회자들과 교회들과 협력하여 한인 교회를 지원하고자 하는 비전을 가지고 있습니다. 이번에 개설하는 한국어 강좌를 시작으로, 앞으로 전문적이면서도 실천적인 신학을 가르치는 ‘미래 지도자 양육의 터전’을 한인 공동체에게 제공하기를 원합니다.

In the Winter 2026 semester, we plan to offer two biblical studies courses in Korean. Based on the success of these initial courses, we hope to expand our Korean-language course offerings.
2026년 겨울 학기에는 한국어로 두 과목의 성경학 강좌를 개설할 예정입니다. 이러한 초기 강좌들의 성과를 바탕으로, 향후 한국어 강좌를 더욱 확대하여 제공하기를 기대합니다.

Old Testament Historical Books 구약 역사서
This course, taught by Dr. Suk-il Ahn, will cover the Old Testament historical books, which include: Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 and 2 Samuel, 1 and 2 Kings, 1 and 2 Chronicles, Ezra–Nehemiah, and Esther. Through this course, we will examine the main content and theological messages of these books from a covenantal perspective, with the goal of applying them to ministry.
구약 역사서의 구조, 신학, 중심 주제를 살펴보고, 이것이 신약과 어떻게 연결되는지, 그리고 오늘날 우리에게 어떤 메시지를 주는지를 추적한다. 이 수업은 구약 역사서의 전체적인 구조 안에서 하나님의 언약이 어떻게 드러나는지를 본문 연구를 통해 살펴볼 것이다.

New Testament Ecclesiology: First Century Christianity in Multilingual and Multicultural Environment신약의 교회론: 다민족-다문화 속의 1세기 초대교회
This course, taught by Dr. Sung Min Park, explores New Testament ecclesiology from a multilingual and multicultural perspective. It examines how Jesus in the Gospels, church leaders such as Peter and Paul in Acts, and the authors of the Epistles and Revelation addressed the challenges posed by a multilingual and multicultural context, how they built the church around the gospel.
본 강의는 신약 성서에 나타난 교회론을 다민족-다문화적 관점에서 고찰한다. 우리는 복음서에 등장하는 예수님, 사도행전의 베드로와 바울을 비롯한 교회 지도자들, 그리고 각 서신서와 요한계시록의 저자들이 당시의 다민족-다문화적 상황 속에서 발생한 다양한 문제들을 어떻게 다루었는지, 또한 이러한 상황 속에서 어떻게 복음을 중심으로 교회를 세워 나갔는지를 살펴볼 것이다. 궁극적으로 이 수업은 전세계에 흩어진 한인 이민 교회 뿐만 아니라 점차적으로 다민족-다문화 사회가 되어가는 한국 교회가 새롭게 나아갈 방향을 말씀을 통해 찾아가는 여정이 될 것이다.

Program Options
In order to register for these courses, students will need to apply as an occasional student. Apply for free before October 15 or by December 22 (a late fee of $54 will apply).
These courses can be applied to any of our English-language Master’s degrees or Graduate Certificate in Christian Studies (Biblical Studies, Bilingual). Learn about all of our programs.
한국어 과목을 수강하시려면, 아래 링크에서 비정규 학생(Occasional Student) 등록서를 작성해 주시기 바랍니다. 현재 맥마스터 신학교(MDC) 정규 학생은 이 강좌를 수강할 수 없습니다. 1차 신청 마감일은 10월 15일이며, 그 이후에 신청하시면 $54의 추가 요금이 부과됩니다. 최종 신청 마감일인 12월 22일 이후에는 2026년 겨울 학기 강좌를 신청하실 수 없습니다.
비정규 학생으로 한국어 강좌를 수강하신 분이 차후에 정규 석사 과정 (MDiv 또는 MA)이나 대학원 수료증 과정 (Graduate Certificate: 성서신학, 이중언어 과정)에 입학하시면, 수강하신 모든 과목은 정규 학위 과정의 이수 과목 (3학점)으로 인정됩니다.
Apply as an occasional student to take Korean language courses
English Language Proficiency
Applicants to the Master of Divinity (MDiv) or Master of Arts (MA) programs are required to demonstrate English language proficiency by submitting one of the following:
- Minimum TOEFL score: 92
- Minimum IELTS score: 7.0 in each category
You may be exempt from submitting a test score if any of the following apply:
- English is your first language
- You have completed post-secondary education in English
- You have resided in Canada for more than four years
Applicants to the Occasional Studies and the Graduate Certificate program are not required to submit proof of English language proficiency.
맥마스터 신학교 정규 과정(MDiv 또는 MA)에 지원하시는 유학생들은 TOEFL 또는 IELTS 성적표를 제출하셔야 합니다:
- TOEFL: 92점 이상
- IELTS: 각 영역 7.0 이상
다만, 아래 항목 중 하나에 해당되는 경우 영어 성적 제출이 면제될 수 있습니다:
