Who Can Qualify
New students from CBOQ churches enrolling in any of the following programs and beginning their studies in January 2026 are eligible.
- Master of Divinity (MDiv)
- Master of Arts in Theology & Ministry (MA)
- Doctor of Practical Theology (DPT)
Students starting in later terms will still receive scholarships, but at a lower rate.

All eligible CBOQ students who begin in Winter 2026 will receive 75% of their tuition fees in scholarships for Winter 2026 and Spring/Summer 2026 courses. Students are encouraged to apply for a full-time course load in order to save the maximum amount, but part-time students are also eligible.
For Master of Divinity & Master of Arts (Theology and Ministry) programs, this looks like:

These scholarship amounts will apply to all courses enrolled in the Winter 2026 and Spring/Summer 2026 terms. For the 2026-27 academic year, students can anticipate a 50% tuition scholarship. Following that, students will be considered for scholarship under MDC’s regular scholarship policy.
How To Apply
- Submit your application, supporting documents, and references to one of the eligible programs.
- Provide a pastoral letter of reference from a CBOQ pastor or denominational leader, affirming ministry potential and good standing within CBOQ. Email this letter to us at divadmit@mcmaster.ca.
