ELIGIBILITY

Who Can Qualify

New students from CBOQ churches enrolling in any of the following programs and beginning their studies in January 2026 are eligible.

  • Master of Divinity (MDiv)
  • Master of Arts in Theology & Ministry (MA)
  • Doctor of Practical Theology (DPT)

Students starting in later terms will still receive scholarships, but at a lower rate.

Scholarship Details

All eligible CBOQ students who begin in Winter 2026 will receive 75% of their tuition fees in scholarships for Winter 2026 and Spring/Summer 2026 courses. Students are encouraged to apply for a full-time course load in order to save the maximum amount, but part-time students are also eligible.

For Master of Divinity & Master of Arts (Theology and Ministry) programs, this looks like:

For the Doctor of Practical Theology program, this looks like:

Regular Tuition Fee (per term) Scholarship Amount (75%) Cost to Student
$3,090.00 $2,317.50 $772.50

These scholarship amounts will apply to all courses enrolled in the Winter 2026 and Spring/Summer 2026 terms. For the 2026-27 academic year, students can anticipate a 50% tuition scholarship. Following that, students will be considered for scholarship under MDC’s regular scholarship policy.

How To Apply

  1. Submit your application, supporting documents, and references to one of the eligible programs.
  2. Provide a pastoral letter of reference from a CBOQ pastor or denominational leader, affirming ministry potential and good standing within CBOQ. Email this letter to us at divadmit@mcmaster.ca.
