Theophila: A Journal of Theology, Philosophy, Literature, and the Arts is a peer-reviewed journal that provides a forum for scholarly work in four intellectually vibrant fields: theology (systematic, historical, contextual, dogmatic), philosophy (ancient, analytic, continental, hermeneutics, metaphysics, ethics), literature (ancient to modern, sacred or secular, poetry, drama, narrative, biography), and the arts (visual, expressive, musical).

Guidelines

  • Submissions should conform to the McMaster Divinity College Press Style Guide at the time of submission
  • There are no fixed word limits for any of the submission types.
  • Submission should be sent in PDF format, with no restrictions on copyright and no simultaneous submission.

After Submission

After peer review, authors will be informed of the decision of the editors. Accepted and finalized articles will initially be posted online on the Theophila website in fixed format, where they remain available, and published in hard form according to volume year.
