Trauma Counsellor Contract

We invite Clinical counsellors of all experience levels to join our innovative multidisciplinary team.
Bedford Integrative Therapeutic Services (BiTS) is a professional oasis of warmth, collaboration, & respect for
therapists & clients suffering from trauma, anxiety, and chronic pain.
Your trauma-attuned counselling skills will complement the treatments of other Clinical Counsellors, an
Osteopathic Manual practitioner, Registered Massage therapists, Functional Health & Nutrition coach, & Limbic
system retraining coach.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop a self-directed flexible schedule (part-time / full-time) including:
• A predictable income due to an established clinic reputation in the community
• Supportive full-time admin support including payment processing, booking & warm reception for clients.
• Clinical supervision on-site including group supervision, individual, and “hallway” consults
• Regular team social activities
• Signing bonus of $1000 (half at signing, half after 1 year contract fulfilled)
• Accessible facility & spacious offices

Key skills & strengths needed:
• Advanced trauma therapy certification (or willing to obtain in near future) in modalities such as EMDR,
AEDP, ART, Somatic therapies, & IFS.
• Polyvagal informed lens & understanding the 3-phase trauma model
• Person-centered warmth, & cultural responsiveness
• Proven collaborative working relationships
• Must be able to work in-person at least 2-3 days a week, with flexibility for some remote therapy
• Maintain accurate & timely records using Janeapp (training & onboarding support provided)
• Registration (or qualify to soon register) with BCACC or CCPA
• Acceptable vulnerable sector Criminal records check & valid professional liability insurance
• Experience level is flexible – newer counsellors with less experience are warmly encouraged to apply

Optional:
We have a waitlist for Christian adults & youth seeking a trauma therapist that aligns with their worldview.
Ideally, you have lived experience with the Christian worldview & experience integrating spirituality into
therapy.
