The Summer Youth Leader provides Christ-centered leadership, mentorship, and programming for youth

in Grades 7–12 and young adults (up to 30 years of age). This role focuses on building relationships,

encouraging spiritual growth, and organizing meaningful activities that help youth deepen their faith and

connect within the church community. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong Christian foundation, a

genuine love for young people, and enthusiasm for planning creative, impactful events and outings.

Qualifications

• A passion for youth ministry and a genuine love for working with youth and young adults

• A strong Christian faith foundation and consistent spiritual practices.

• Member in good standing of a Christian church; supportive of Drayton Reformed Church’s

mission and values.

• Experience working with youth (church, school, camp, or informal settings) is an asset.

• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Dependability, initiative, creativity, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

• Highly enthusiastic, outgoing, and energetic, with a zest for life

• Willingness to work nontraditional hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Ability to think outside the box to build connections with youth

• Completed Police Vulnerable Sector Check

• Formal education in Seminary, Religious Youth Education an asset, not a requirement
