Summer Pastor Sauble Beach On

Summer Pastor (Mid May till August 2026) at North Sauble Community    Church ( Interdenominational).  This is a unique Summer Pastor position. Unique because it has many learning experiences to grow  into as  being the Summer Pastor, plus it is unique opportunity because across the street is the beautiful Lake Huron / Sauble Beach.

The job consists of  two main parts. The first one being Sunday morning Services, where the student will plan an organize a complete service for an hour in length. It will include a 20 minute sermon, prayer for community and the world, hymns and announcements and bulletins for each Sunday. There will be my husband and I as mentors to lead and guide you if this is unknown territory. It would be nice to see some preaching skills taught ahead of time .This occurs till June and then we have other lay men and pastors that will do Sunday Services in July and August and you coordinate the bulletin for them. If you do a good job preaching,  we can arrange a Sunday or so in July or August for you to preach as well.    The second part of this job would be North Club that  is what we call our Vacation Bible School. It happens in July and August throughout the summer daily for hours from 10 till noon. Preparing songs, bible stories, object lessons, science experiments, games are all part of the package for VBS . We share the gospel but make it fun in doing so! Clean up after each VBS is important  both in the Sunday school room and the kitchen. Children are encouraged to help. Mowing the small lawn, watering outside plants are all weekly duties if necessary .

We need a enthusiastic candidate. One wh o is friendly , outgoing.  and whio is  willing to learn in new situations. One who is mature enough to live in their own and work responsibly on their own is Vital in this job description. Board meetings once a month to attend as well as a ny social activities planned. References  are given by request at the end of the summer. Clean up before you leave as well as the furnished apartment / cottage provided for you Free of  charge. Only groceries and bike needed. Car if you have would be an asset here.
