Toronto Chinese Baptist Church is seeking a young seminary graduate with evangelical faith to assist our English congregation pastor, Rev. Nolan Lee, in evangelism and caring for university students, youths, and English speaking people in our church neighbourhood in downtown Toronto.

The Pastoral Intern-English congregation for a period of 12 months, and after this period of internship, he/she could apply for the long term position of Assistant Pastor-English Congregation. The prospective candidate must be of evangelical faith, with calling and heart to serve God. Since our church is a member of Canadian Baptist of Ontario and Quebec, he/she must agree to follow the Baptist faith and tradition, including: been or willing to be baptized by water immersion in the future. Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to (under Rev. Nolan Lee’s supervision): outreach and caring for university students, especially University of Toronto, Toronto Metropolitan University, Ontario Arts and Design College University; caring for young people and youths including high school students; preaching (6 to 12 times yearly); and Sunday school teaching.

He/she does NOT have to be of Chinese ethnic background, but has to be willing to appreciate and learn about Chinese culture and work with Christians of such background. We are intending to make our English congregation becoming more multi-ethnic, and “make disciples of all nations.” If interested, please contact the church secretary at 416 596 8376 or email Rev. Our church is composed of three congregations: Cantonese congregation, Mandarin congregation, and English Congregation (with average Sunday attendance of about 100 people). Most of the English worship service congregants are either Canadian born, or have been in Canada for a long period of time. About 10% of the congregants are non-Chinese Canadians.
