In May 2023, Sneha Reddy earned her Master of Theological Studies (MTS), specializing in Counselling and Spiritual Care and is now a Registered Psychotherapist at a Christian counselling centre. Her interest in McMaster Divinity College was piqued when her brother-in-law, Ben Froese, shared his positive experience at MDC. A Zoom call with Kelvin Mutter, the faculty supervisor for the Counselling and Spiritual Care specialization, helped Sneha solidify her decision and answered her prayers asking God to show her how to use her gifts and talents for his glory.

Throughout her time at MDC, Sneha cherished the connections she made with her professors, who supported her through her journey. A sticky note in her office still reads, “Your supervisors and professors believe in you,” and, “Trust the process,” two statements from her professors that serve as a reminder of the encouragement that helped her through challenging times. She formed lifelong friendships with peers who have become her prayer warriors, and she plans to maintain these bonds as long as possible.

“Your supervisors and professors believe in you. Trust the process.”

Sneha’s time at MDC was not without challenges, including tears, growing pains, and career uncertainties. Yet, through it all, she felt sustained by God and supported by her professors and peers, who provided a strong foundation for her future endeavours. One of the most impactful courses for her was Supervised Pastoral Education (SPE), which, despite being the most demanding, provided essential practical skills to set her up for success in the counselling field.

Currently, Sneha integrates her clinical and biblical training in her role as a Registered Psychotherapist at a Christian counselling centre, where she feels blessed to create a space where people feel seen and heard while making God known in an organic way. Her biblical training has enhanced her ability to interpret scripture in its original context, inspiring her clients to develop their own understanding and personal relationship with God. Additionally, Sneha has had the opportunity to preach as a guest speaker in various churches, a testament to the preparation she received at MDC.

Her passion for music remains, and she has participated in several new music projects. More recently, she was featured in a song with Brian Doerksen called, Come Now is the Time to Worship (Hindi Version).

As she continues to work diligently to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for her clients, she welcomes prayers for guidance and strength, and seeks God’s help in maintaining healthy self-care practices to sustain her in this meaningful and humbling work.
