McMaster Divinity College is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a free public event on the theology and ethics of Dietrich Bonhoeffer on March 25, 2026. We invite scholars, students, pastors, and the wider community to engage with the thought and legacy of one of the twentieth century’s most influential Christian theologians.
The twentieth-century German Lutheran pastor and theologian, Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1906–1945), holds a special place in the hearts of many for his theological insight and his courageous commitment to living out a Christ-centered, community-oriented vision of the Gospel’s costly grace in the midst of historical crisis.
At the heart of the event will be a series of presentations and discussions exploring Bonhoeffer’s enduring relevance for the church and academy today. We invite those interested in contributing to the conversation to submit a paper proposal.
The call for papers is open until December 15, 2025. If you are interested in presenting your research or reflections, you can find the submission details on the event webpage.
Further event details, including registration information, will be shared later this year.
