McMaster Divinity College is pleased to announce a substantial scholarship opportunity for students from Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec (CBOQ) churches who plan to begin their studies in January 2026. This initiative reflects the College’s ongoing partnership with CBOQ and its commitment to supporting students preparing for ministry and service. CBOQ students entering eligible programs can receive a tuition scholarship covering up to 75 percent of their fees for courses taken in the Winter 2026 and Spring 2026 terms.
Students from CBOQ churches who apply to begin a Master of Divinity (MDiv), Master of Arts in Theology and Ministry (MA), or Doctor of Practical Theology (DPT) program in January 2026 are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. The scholarship significantly reduces the cost of graduate theological education.
To access this scholarship, prospective students must submit their program application and required supporting documents along with a pastoral letter of reference from a CBOQ pastor or denominational leader.
This scholarship offer grows out of the long and meaningful relationship between McMaster Divinity College and the churches of the CBOQ. From the earliest years of the College, CBOQ churches and leaders have played a vital role in supporting and sustaining theological education, investing faithfully in the preparation of new generations of pastors and ministry leaders. That heritage continues today as the College and the CBOQ remain committed to working together in equipping women and men who will serve faithfully in churches and communities across Ontario, Quebec, and beyond.
CBOQ pastors and church leaders play an essential role in identifying and encouraging those within their congregations who may be sensing a call to ministry, seeking deeper theological formation, or exploring opportunities to grow in their service and leadership. With a 75 percent tuition scholarship available for a limited time, this is an important opportunity to support individuals ready to take the next step in pursuing theological education and ministry preparation.
