YOUTH MINISTRY/FOOD BANK CO-ORDINATOR
JOB DESCRIPTION
Position reports to: Director of Development
Position works with: Ministry Director, Jr. High and Sr. High Leadership Team,

Food Bank Leadership Team

Scope of Ministry: Plan and implement discipleship activities for grades 6-12,
Offer organizational and pastoral leadership to the food bank
ministry.
Employment Status: 40 hrs. Weekly
Position Overview:
The Youth Director is responsible for planning and implementing Friday evening youth
activities, develop and deliver weekly bible studies for the youth, and to engage and
support youth ministry volunteers.

Primary Responsibilities:

YOUTH MINISTRY
 Plan, organize and implement Sr High weekly activities. Activities may include
devotionals, service projects, special events, lock-ins, etc.
 Fully participate in both Sunday church activities and other youth activities
 Assist in teaching JR High Sunday School classes
 Ask questions, be creative, offer, plan and implement ideas, seek servant-
leadership opportunities, learn, listen, teach, and look for ways to serve
 Recruit, equip, and develop volunteers to work with Capstone youth
 Lead a mid-week youth bible study

FOOD BANK
 Provide overall leadership and pastoral oversight of the food bank ministry.
 Facilitate regular food bank leadership and planning meetings.
 Help articulate vision, values, and next-stage goals for the food bank in alignment
with Capstone’s broader mission and together with the foodbank leadership
team
 Be present during key food bank operations (particularly Fridays and/or
Saturdays) to offer leadership support, pastoral presence, and problem-solving.
 Work with administrative staff and volunteers to develop, refine, and document
systems that support smooth, safe, and dignified operations.

General requirements:

 Gifted and is called to ministry, loves people, and has a passion for evangelism
and discipleship, both personally and at the ministry level
 Strong biblical background, who is in agreement with the Statement of Faith
 Attend worship services and special meetings
 Maintain a good working relationship with all Capstone Staff members. You may
be asked to help in other various ministries
