MDC is delighted to welcome four new research fellows for the 2026–2027 academic year. Beginning in September, these fellows will spend the year advancing their research in their respective fields:
Dudley A. Brown holds a PhD in Historical Theology from McMaster Divinity College, an MTS from McMaster Divinity College, a BEd from Queen’s University, and a BSc from the University of Guelph. His research focuses on Black Baptist history in Canada, church and culture, and the formation and development of Black Baptist communities.
Helen Chen holds a PhD in Systematic Theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, a ThM from Regent College, an MATS from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, an MS from Penn State University, and a BS from Fudan University. Her research focuses on theological anthropology, the integration of theology and spirituality, and developing a biblical-theological anthropology for the age of AI.
Allison Kach-Yawnghwe holds a PhD in Mission Studies and Global Christianity from Boston University, an MA from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a BSc from the University of Regina. Her research focuses on the history of Youth With A Mission, Pentecostalism and evangelicalism, and global Christian mission.
Fady Mekhael holds a PhD in New Testament and Second Temple Judaism from McMaster University, a ThM from Duke Divinity School, an MA from Evangelical Theological Seminary in Cairo, and a BSc from Alexandria University. His research focuses on Luke-Acts, Second Temple Judaism, atonement theology, and early Jewish understandings of sacrifice.
