Centre for Church and Culture Hosts Webinar

Mon, March 4, 2024

On February 15, 2024, the Centre for Church and Culture hosted a webinar by Dr. Phil C. Zylla on “Fostering Congregational Spiritual Formation.” It was a delight to have more than 80 online participants join us.

Dr. Phil Zylla and Dr. John Hilber conversed about the ‘spiritual enclaves’ that cultivate sustainable spiritual development in our church. The conversation provided a formative framework to support pastors and spiritual leaders. It focused on community building in a post-Covid context, strategies for how to adapt to the needs and interests of various spiritual ‘types’ and promote engagement in the congregation, reconsidering the nature of Christian discipleship, and described practices that can assist in the formation-of-community that can be applied to a variety of church contexts.

Thank you to all those who joined us. If you missed the webinar the recording is available to watch below. If you are interested in learning more about this topic, check out Dr. Zylla’s spring course, Spiritual Formation in the Church, starting this May!
