On November 6, Dr. Paul Evans will present a paper titled “The Rabshakeh’s Rewriting of Judahite Indigeneity: Identity, Land, and Jerusalem’s Sovereignty in the Hezekiah–Sennacherib Narrative” at the Preserving National Identity under Imperial Rule: The Assyrian and Babylonian Empires and Their Challenge to Indigenous Identity Conference at Bar-Ilan University in Israel. The event is held in partnership with the American Institute of Holy Land Studies.
