We are delighted to invite you to our second New Testament Guild meeting, taking place on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 1:00 pm.This year’s theme, “New Testament Scholars Across the World,” offers us the privilege of hearing from Dr. Jae-Hyun Lee, Assistant Professor and Chaplain at Handong Global University, Pohang, South Korea.
Dr. Lee has made significant contributions to New Testament studies, including his recently published works Romans (2024) and 1-3 John (2020), both highly esteemed in South Korea. His other notable publications include Salvation: The Masterpiece of the Holy Trinity (2018) and the widely acclaimed Paul’s Gospel in Romans: A Discourse Analysis of Rom 1:16-8:39 (2010). Looking ahead, Dr. Lee is preparing to release Philippians in the New Testament Discourse Analysis Commentary Series with Wipf & Stock, while also working on 1, 2, 3 John for Brill’s Exegetical Commentary Series.
MDC’s New Testament (NT) Guild is a monthly meeting open to all faculty and students studying or interested in New Testament at MDC. The NT Guild gives everyone an opportunity to meet outside our regular curriculum to discuss various topics concerning being a good NT scholar.
