With the semester in full swing and with two exciting upcoming presenters in March and April, we will use the opportunity to capture a portion of something we have lost during this extended lockdown–the opportunity to connect and reconnect with our peers, to enjoy a conversation about the frustrations and joy of schoolwork, and introduce ourselves and converse with professors we have yet to have the opportunity. In light of our brilliant faculty members’ presentations at the recent Research and Dissertation Colloquy, we thought it appropriate to facilitate meaningful and dedicated fellowship during this time.
To do so, we will be creating small breakout groups composed of students not in the same courses or degree stage with faculty generally not presently teaching or advising them as much as possible. We will provide prompts and icebreakers, but strongly encourage you to go off script. Please plan to join us!
MDC’s New Testament (NT) Guild is a monthly meeting open to all faculty and students studying or interested in New Testament at MDC. The NT Guild gives everyone an opportunity to meet outside our regular curriculum to discuss various topics concerning being a good NT scholar. Topics include: NT studies, theological education, scholarship, job market and job application, professional developments, and many more. For more information contact John Lee.
