Bates Joins MDC Faculty

McMaster Divinity College (MDC) is proud to announce that Paul K. Bates is joining its faculty as Assistant Professor of Leadership. A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Fellow of the Society of Management Consultants (FCMA) and Certified Management Consultant (CMC), Bates is a veteran of Bay Street, who brings with him an immeasurable wealth of experience and knowledge of the finance and business world. In discussing his new appointment, Bates remarked, “I am honoured and humbled to be joining the faculty of McMaster Divinity College. I look forward to collaborating on the development of new curriculum for the sacred task of Christian leadership.” His most recent positions as Special Advisor to the President of McMaster University and Dean of the McMaster University DeGroote School of Business have created significant personal relationships among the academic community at large.Dr. Stanley E. Porter, President and Dean of MDC, expressed his delight at this appointment. “Even though Paul’s expertise comes from finance, his heart is drawn to Christian ministry, and he is driven to focus his efforts towards supporting theological higher education. I am honoured and excited to welcome him to our faculty and look forward with anticipation to what he will bring to the mission of McMaster Divinity College.”
