On this International Women’s Day, we are pleased to announce a new initiative, the MDC Women in Ministry Scholarship.
Inspired by the women who have gone before us and laid the foundation for women to study and serve in all areas of ministry, including preaching and teaching, we are excited to announce that a founding donor has come forward with a gift of $35,000 to initiate the Women in Ministry Scholarship. All gifts designated to this fund will go directly to financially support female students across all our programs, beginning Fall 2024.
Through this initiative, we hope to build a community of like-minded individuals to continue the work of removing barriers that women face in training for ministry. This scholarship has been developed to provide opportunities and encourage women as they live out their calling to become effective Christian leaders with the gifts God has entrusted to them.
From our founding mother, Susan Moulton McMaster, to the women who walk our hallways today, we want to share the stories of the women who champion theological education.
We invite you to join the initiative! You can give directly to support women in ministry at McMaster Divinity College with a one-time donation or monthly gift to this new scholarship at the link below. Please thoughtfully consider the impact your gift could make on the ministry of someone starting out in ministry.
