The Canadian Baptist Symposium is coming to McMaster Divinity College for a one-day conference on Saturday, April 26, 2025. The conference, titled, Being Baptist: Past, Present, and Future, will seek to answer questions like:
- What forces, ideas, and individuals have shaped Baptists across Canada in past centuries?
- What components make up Baptist identity in the twenty-first century?
- What challenges and opportunities lie ahead for Canadian Baptists in the days to come?
Sponsored by the Acadia Centre for Baptist and Anabaptist Studies and the Canadian Baptist Historical Society, the symposium will feature on-site sessions at both McMaster Divinity College (MDC) and Acadia Divinity College (ADC), with additional participants joining remotely.
Plenary speakers include Dr. David Bebbington (at ADC) and Dr. Michael Haykin (at MDC).
