MDC would like to send a big congratulations to our custodian, David McIsaac, who has been selected to receive a President’s Award for Outstanding Service in recognition of his contribution to the College and the life of McMaster University and surrounding community.The purpose of this award is to provide an annual recognition for individual employees who have made an outstanding contribution throughout the year beyond that normally expected for their position to the mission of the University through:The provision of exceptional service to staff, faculty, students, alumni, donors or visitors; the identification of measures which contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of University operations; and a direct or indirect contribution to the community or the University which impacts the reputation of McMaster.A maximum of eight (8) individual awards in the amount of $1,500 each will be awarded to recipients of this award. Recipients will also receive a plaque engraved with their name and will have their name added to the President’s Awards Roll of Honour. Many thanks to Virginia Wolfe, who coordinated the nomination, and to all those who provided letters of recommendation in support of David’s candidacy. Of eighteen nominees and eight recipients in the individual award category, David is the only candidate from Facilities Services (which makes this award all the more unusual). The awards ceremony is scheduled for the afternoon of May 27, 2014.We are so proud of you Dave, and are thrilled that everyone will be able to recognize the outstanding work that we see from you daily.
