023, in collaboration with the Church and Culture Centre, MDC hosted a Pastors’ Lunch & Learn event, marking the beginning of the President’s Open House. MDC was delighted to welcome more than 50 pastors, church leaders, and church attendees who gathered to enjoy a meal together while engaging in meaningful conversations.
Dr. Michael Knowles, Hurlburt Professor of Preaching, delivered an engaging talk titled, “In the Spirit/In the Wind.” During his presentation, he delved into contemporary societal themes such as secularism, spirituality, tribalism, embodiment, and virtual reality. Dr. Knowles also provided insights on how pastors, preachers, and followers of Jesus could effectively respond.
