• Danny Nguyen

    Danny Nguyen lives in Vancouver and is a young adult passionate about helping others know about Jesus. He is a Young Life Capernaum alumni, on the leadership team for the Trinity Rangers, and also one of the first graduates from the Leadership Experience. He loves learning about leadership, faith, and swimming. He regularly participates in the polar swim with the Special Olympics. His heart is for everyone to know that even though everyone has different learning abilities, we all have the right to learn and grow in our faith.

  • Kathy Dubbeldam

    Kathy Dubbeldam is the Young Life Capernaum Ministry Director overseeing faith-based mentorship to teens with disabilities throughout Canada. She helped found the Trinity Rangers, a friendship group connecting with Trinity Western University Spartan athletes, as well as spearheaded the Capernaum Family Camp, a camp designed especially for families with disabilities, at RockRidge Canyon in BC. She speaks to churches and schools about creating belonging and empowering our friends with disabilities to use their God-given gifts to serve in their communities. She also just completed the first year teaching the Leadership Experience, a program designed to help close the gap between our friends with disabilities and leadership opportunities.

  • Jenna C. Hoff

    Jenna C. Hoff is an Edmonton-based freelance writer and editor who is passionate about older child adoption, social justice, and inclusion from a faith-based perspective. Living with physical and communication disabilities for many years, as well as mothering  children, teenagers and young adults with disabilities, has given her a unique perspective in advocating for an accessible, gentler, kinder world for all.

  • Chantal Huinink

    Chantal Huinink holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Guelph; and a Masters of Divinity and Masters of Social Work from Martin Luther University College at Wilfrid Laurier. She is a Registered Social Worker of Ontario, the founder of Faith and Wheelpower Ministries, a motivational speaker, author, and social justice advocate. She worked with Karis Disability Services (formerly Christian Horizons) and KidsAbility for many years, providing counselling, mentorship, and spiritual care. She was elected to Waterloo Regional Council in 2022. Her education and experience as a woman with a physical disability has made her keenly aware of the need for holistic supports and services including consideration of physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs. In her spare time, Chantal walks her dog Mocha, swims, studies Spanish, travels, and enjoys concerts and movies.
